They’ve been around for a while, and honestly, we’ve been off our game. Ha.
Calbi (Short rib) Tacos are awesome. ($2 Each)

We also recommend the Three Wise Fries. ($6)

My most recent addiction. They are mini quesadillas, all natural, and delicious!

They heat up in about 30 seconds, straight out the freezer.
I picked mine up in bulk at Costco. Get some. Foreal.

Located in Houston on Bellaire just east of Beltway 8, Banana Leaf is one of the best Malay places I’ve been to eat in a long time! They boast a kitchen of ONLY malaysian chefs and all of their items made in house. Price wise, dishes are relatively around the $10 range, and I spent about $20 on myself (hey, I’m a fatty that’s happy. Lemme alone)

Craving some good Italian food? This place is located right next door to its sister Vespaio. We haven’t tried Vespaio, but we will soon. Enoteca is a less fancy, less expensive version. However, that being said, this place isn’t cheap. We spent $40 for two people.

Jo’s is a fun quaint place to hang out and catch some pretty good food. There are two locations one in 2nd district and the other in SoCo district. The two Jo’s are very different in atmosphere but the food quality is the same. On a nice pretty day I love to sit outside and enjoy my food especially their homemade cheesecake.

So good, it deserves a 2ndary mention! (To read the 1st one, go here: http://gimmenomnom.com/2010/04/12/24-diner/)
New to the scene of late night druken eats comes 24 Diner! Located on the north west corner of lamar and 6th st in Austin, the diner is home to some of the tastiest treats I’ve had (alcohol induced or otherwise). Their meatloaf is better than my last meatloaf favorite (Hoover’s) and their chicken and waffles (though not brined like Luck Js) w chocolate syrup is definitely worth a try!

On May 16th, Jocelyn and I decided to randomly go to the Domain. Turns out, there was a huge taste testing of all the restaurants in the Domain. They sold 10 tickets for $20. What a deal! We went around to every booth and tried everything. We even saw cooking lessons and ate those free samples. Yummm.

$20 for 10 tickets. Worth itttttt

Here is what we had and if we liked it.

Craving some cheap eats? We ate a good portion meal and our bill came out to be $12. What a deal! The atmosphere is set in the diner era and the outdoor seating is a mix between modern and classic. They offer tasteful food & drinks that’s organic and local yet affordable. Located in my favorite part of town SoCo district. A great place to catch a quick eat or lounge with friends.
