Jo’s is a fun quaint place to hang out and catch some pretty good food. There are two locations one in 2nd district and the other in SoCo district. The two Jo’s are very different in atmosphere but the food quality is the same. On a nice pretty day I love to sit outside and enjoy my food especially their homemade cheesecake.

So good, it deserves a 2ndary mention! (To read the 1st one, go here: http://gimmenomnom.com/2010/04/12/24-diner/)
New to the scene of late night druken eats comes 24 Diner! Located on the north west corner of lamar and 6th st in Austin, the diner is home to some of the tastiest treats I’ve had (alcohol induced or otherwise). Their meatloaf is better than my last meatloaf favorite (Hoover’s) and their chicken and waffles (though not brined like Luck Js) w chocolate syrup is definitely worth a try!

Delicious hand-made savory and sweet crepes. They were featured on food network. Located in a trailer in a small lot. Great place to go on a nice day, especially since the seating is outdoors. Make sure to have lots of time because food takes a while.
CHICKEN & WAFFLES are absolutely delicious! What more can you ask for? Soft and chewy waffles topped with juicy chicken strips drenched in butter and the best part, warm syrup. The atmosphere is an industrialized diner look and very modernized.
Simply for me the BEST lil taco joint off of Riverside, I enthusiastically bring all my friends here after a late night of … chatting, and …watching other people drink
If you’re heading south on i-35, exit Riverside, make a left, and there’s a snall little road on your right after you pass the Jack-in-the-box, but before you get to Parker ln./Arena dr.
Anthony Bourdain always asks people, “So you’re on death row, you’re dying tomorrow… what will be your last meal?”
I think I finally found my answer.
La Mexicana

Two locations. I go to the one on the drag. 28th and Guadalupe, Austin, TX.
