Best Sushi in Austin? I would have to say YES! Uchi serves modern Japanese food using only the finest and freshest ingredients. This restaurant knows how to satisfy in all aspects from atmosphere to cuisine.

Location:
801 South Lamar Boulevard
Austin, TX 78704-1509
(512) 916-4808
Hours of operation
Sunday-Thursday 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday & Saturday 5:00pm – 11:00pm
Price
On the pricier end but worth it. $$$
Everything is meant to be shared and comes in tasting potions. I advise to order a couple of dishes and then order more later. The restaurant makes it convenient for you because each table has a small drawer for a menu for easy access. The vibe inside is very cozy and good for dates, special occasions, or just to hang out and have a nice conversation with friends.
Some personal recommendations
Hot Rock
shag-tempura fried bond roll with salmon and squid ink sumiso sauce 14.00
Wagyu Beef
Special Mushroom Dessert
Great place to go for dates and special occasions.

i wish i could have tried uchi before i left. i hear about uchiko now too. uchi does out of the wild fusion sushi. for more fresh fish and exotic kinds, nobu style, we LOVE tomo on parmer. we miss the gang there too. you should go try them, on a thursday. that’s when they get their fish and MUST try the stuff on their board.
